The Chu-mon Gate

The Chu-mon Gate is located on the grounds of the Danjo Garan Sacred Temple Complex. The gate was rebuilt on the 1,200th anniversary in 2015 after the gate burnt down in a great fire in 1843, which was one of seven fires that had occurred at this site. The four guardian deities located at the gate are Jikokuten, Tamonten, Kōmokuten, and Zōchōten.
